Where Can I Serve?

Faith

Faith is the cornerstone of our church. It is part of every activity that we do, every meeting that we hold. We believe in our Lord, and that our actions are a reflection of his goodness.

Scripture

We look to the Lord for guidance in our lives. In Scripture, we find all that we need to guide us in the right path. Reading and understanding Scripture helps us all live meaningful lives.

Community

Join us. We welcome each and every one of you to encounter the Lord's unconditional love with us. Inside each of us is a purpose and meaning to be fulfilled by God.

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, straightening up after church, being a helper in a class, to teaching God’s word. We want every member of Calvary Baptist Church to have their own ministry, and being good stewards of God’s house so others can know Him. Here are a few examples of how you can get involved. Of course, there are many more. Listen out for our next spiritual gift class and sign up to see what your gifts are.

Children's Ministry

We have many opportunities to help in our children’s ministries.

  • Nursery is 0-2 yr olds. (all services)
  • Sunday mornings we have Children's Church

      (3-11 year olds)

  • Wednesday nights we have TeamKid

       (3-11 year olds)

We encourage all parents to get involved and help in this ministry.

Missions Ministry

Calvary Baptist is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries financially and with our prayers. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Outreach Ministry

The Outreach Ministry is a ministry to help our church reach others. This ministry is vital to our church. They are a group of people that help with outings for our church and inviting people who otherwise might not come to church. We have a great time meeting new people and also fellow-shipping with our church family. You can learn more about this ministry by going to our Volunteer Link.

Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments, some are vocalists, and others are involved in the choir. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents, and gifts to glorify God. If you would like to join our choir, please see Jake Howell our choir director, or go to our Volunteer Link.

Ushers and Parking

The Usher Team at our church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men whose ministry is integral to church life. If you would like to help in this ministry see Chip Martin (Ushers)and  Dalton Harrington (Parking Lot)You can also go to our Volunteer Link.

Media

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our podcast audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Instagram feeds for additional church communication. If you are interested in helping in this ministry, please go to our Volunteer page.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, before Sunday School (9:30am), a team of volunteers is praying for the services of the week. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Teams pray for their pastor, and church members on our prayer list. Please email your prayer requests to cbcprays@outlook.com to be added to our prayer list.
